Very Peri is a purplish shade that it says, “emblematizes inventiveness and is meant to carry with it a sense of liveliness and vigor.” Technically, the color falls into the blue category with violet undertones. For designer Donna Leah, founder of Donna Leah Designs, it is a reminder of the Miami sunset over the ocean.
“I love that this year’s color, Very Peri, was created as a brand- new color by the design world’s color experts at Pantone. This color expresses a happy and optimistic mood with a strong emotional feeling that is tied to it. It’s been a favorite color of mine and one that I have been working into evening gowns as well as more casual two-piece sets,” says designer Donna Leah. According to the official announcement from Pantone, “this year marks the first time in the Color of the Year history that the institute has created a new color to represent the global landscape.”
No doubt, metallic fabrics are bringing the party spirit back into fashion this season. A major trend, for both big and small events, is to bring a happy and celebratory vibe to the occasion through what one wears. Party-ready clothes are no longer reserved just for evening gowns and formal attire, but for every moment that can be enjoyed.
“Women can accessorize their look and personalize it to make it their own. There are so many fun ways to change a look with shoes, jewelry, and even nails!” explains designer Donna Leah. “Styling is all about versatility. It allows a woman’s personality to completely shine through.”
Trendsetters, fashion forecasters, and those in the know understand that green is used to symbolize a sense of hope and optimism. Even while we embrace the idea of dressing for ourselves and holding individualistic looks above all else, few are able to stay away from one of nature’s strongest hues.
As fans know, Donna Leah Designs’ style is upscale with a touch of formal, even in her more casual looks. It’s important to the designer for people to feel empowered by what they are wearing, to express themselves through their clothing, and to unapologetically wear what a person thinks look best on them.
